Thanks for watching this video. I'm glad you're here. If you feel like this earns your subscription please click here: bit.ly/Subscribe2SED How this happened: I messaged Tory "If you ever find yourself with an open lunch I'll buy. No cameras, just rocket geek chat." A few months later he changed a flight one day so we could grab lunch, but he also carved out a couple of hours before lunch to give me a personal tour. He's as cool off camera as he is on camera. He allowed me to ask any technical question I had, and I never even got close to the limits of his understanding of rockets. His technical prowess is something I aspire to. We made a video on the second channel where I interview him about more specific things about rockets, as well as how he feels about competitors. 2nd Channel Interview with Tory about rocket engines, competitors, and business philosophy: kgkey.info/block/pYGVibSrh613t6Q/video.html

Not to hate on ULA but I think they make launches on time because they give themselves so much time, like part of Vulcan was already made in early 2020, and launch is in late 2021? 2022? Also just go full capacity, launch more! still a fantastic video after watching it for a second time.

I came to Huntsville a year ago, to take a maintenance tech position at Jenoptik. We made the lenses for the cameras on the Perseverance Rover and I maintain the equipment that made those lenses. It humbles me, to be in the middle of all this, because it's history in the making. Maybe you could take a look at another location, in my home town, that's a part of the new evolution of aerospace; the Arnold Engineering and Development Center (Arnold AFB) in Tullahoma, TN.

I can’t help but stare at it every time. My dream is to one day do something soil or civil eng related in space on the surface of the moon or maybe Mars. Don’t know if you will see this but your videos are so inspirational. Just finished watching the moon rock lab sample tour. Thank you. Don’t know if you’ve collaborated with UofA on any research, my fluids professor, Dr. Lang loves your videos and is doing research on shark skin and butterfly scales and how it benefits the animal dealing with lift and drag.

I feel bad for Tory. He’s smart and seems like a genuinely good guy but he’s handcuffed by his bosses. Even though he’s the CEO, ULA is a wholly owned joint venture between Boeing and Lockheed Martin and they don’t care about innovating or investing in the future. The parent companies just squeeze every dollar of profit they can and Tory’s left without the necessary funds to pursue any novel ideas. In a few more years, ULA will be little more than a dried up husk, kept on life support by the occasional military launch. All these new launch companies are coming online very soon. Astra, Firefly, Relativity. Rocket Lab is developing a medium lift launcher. And then there’s SpaceX, who is absolutely destroying the OldSpace dinosaurs.

they made cars and people were amazed at how these were being made. Then there were aeroplanes. Huge jumbo jets that wowed us. Those are the past. These days SpaceX and mars missions and nothing less than Rocket making are now a fancy. Like someone commented here this has got to be the toughest tutorial i have ever had. The CEO and Destin are incredibly informed guys. I do not greatly follow the details, much less i would put them to use, yet they make me feel informed, important and feels great. I would have loved to steal a chip of that rocket.

Also the defunded MOX facility would be a cool thing for you to tour as well now. On the South Carolina / Georgia border on a scale larger than this plant in some ways.

I toured the plant with my husband. Our son who works at ULA was able to get us a tour and it was one of the best times of our lives:)!! We adore rockets:)! All things enormous, that burn thousands of pounds of fuel in seconds and blast off into space dropping boosters, etc. My dreams come true:)! We are so happy that our son has this opportunity and he loves it just like Mom:)! Since he was little the two of us would jump into simulators and anything that pretended to take us to the stars:)! When he went to work at ULA it was as much of a dream come true for me as him. CEO Tony Bruno did a great job giving this tour:)! I saved it and will definitely be watching this over and over:)! I grew up when anything with Nasa/space took the front page for weeks and was the top news story. My Dad and I talked about all of the advances being made and we dreamed the dream of space exploration. My Dad is 87 now a Great, Grandfather so proud of his grandson and we now talk about all the latest rockets that are coming out. We talk about how they help our country/humanity and marvel that one of our family is involved in this fascinating and exciting world:)!!! Family of rocket lovers here:)!!! Thank you ULA for being so COOL😎!!!! Raising up three more Grandsons, little rocket fellas:)!!! Sat and watched around six or more videos this afternoon of a Heavy, Atlas and others blasting off with two of the grandsons and they were literally jumping up and down watching them "shoot into space"!!! Made me so happy:). My son, his wife and two of the grandsons have been too Switzerland twice learning all there is to know and our son has met real astronauts:)!!!!!! Seriously, you find a more exciting job than this let me know. . . I told my son if I was younger I would work in the broom closet:)!!!! Words like rocket, orbital, burn, mega ton, boosters, helium, Mars, entry, fairings, all of these and so, so many more are like chips for me, can't stop with just one:)!!!! Super video, thanks. I subscribed. You did a great job asking great questions and camera work showing how beautiful ULA really is.
