Q&A Time Stamps 🦞 2:24 Q: Why are so many people prone to follow some ideology, seemingly blindly today? (Especially in America and maybe especially among younger people)? 🦞 6:27 Q: I would like to know how to believe in the divine, even though it's a loose end? And how has your conception of god changed in the last year or two? 🦞 16:08 Q: Has your wife's burgeoning faith had an impact on this conception? 🦞 13:26 Q: How do you respond to the idea that your personal theology aligns so well with what is taught by the Eastern Orthodox churches? 🦞 20:09 Q: How can one tell if one's inner voice, judgement or conscience is a healthy one, and not a voice that is a result of an unhealthy mind due to past experiences? How do I decide if my inner voice is healthy or not, and how do I maintain it healthally? 🦞 27:41 Q: How can responsibility be differentiated from imposed guilt? 🦞 29:42 Q: Why does it seem inevitable to become frustrated or annoyed with a loved one's chronic, (although usually non fatal), illness symptoms? 🦞 36:57 Q: In regards to your notion of the importance of romantic relationships, What are the requisites of opening up the relationship to other sexual partners? 🦞 41:08 Q: What is the best way of "integrating the shadow" (Carl Yung), in a person's life, without sacrificing their ethics or the well-being of others? What advice would you give for those who are overly agreeable or experience overwhelming anger in their life? 🦞 51:00 Q: Do you have any sympathy for people on the left politically? Particularly, The Marxist or group identity focused types? 🦞 53:43 Q: You've discussed almost any thinkers flaws except for Jung's... What flaws have you seen in his work? 🦞 59:24 Q: What is the best way to to avoid falling back into nihilistic behaviors and thinking? 🦞 1:02:40 Q: How can you tell if the person you're in a romantic relationship with, is the right person to spend the rest of your life with? 🦞 1:08:03 Q: Does the intellectual dark web exist? The past, present and future of the intellectual dark web. 🦞 1:16:02 Q: How significant of a role do you think that social media has played in the disintegration of the political discourse? _________end__________ 🤗 You're welcome! 🤗

I believe I have found the answer in a particularly well articulated, and very well referenced Alberta Government Public Inquiry report. It was ridiculed by legacy media, and then shadow banned since Feb 2021. If you read it, then you must agree that the agenda, you came up against as a Professor, was driven by the same Progressive Movement. The movement meant to transform society in the Western countries, to adopt the World Economic Forum , Davos Agenda. Given your previous references to the gulag archipelago, I wonder what your thoughts would be on a global gulag archipelago? The full report is on line, but please let me know if you wish a copy, if you are unable to find it. Somehow I believe the who, has been answered below, officially and bravely, by the Alberta government. The Nemeth Report: A New Global Paradigm: Understanding the Transnational Progressive Movement, the Energy Transition and the Great Transformation Strangling Alberta’s Petroleum Industry A Report for Commissioner Steve Allan Anti-Alberta Energy Public Inquiry Dr T.L. Not too sure how much relational negotiation should be vs natural burning desire, perhaps in simple terms burning desire should be at the forefront of the relationship and negotiation in complicated terms? This Q&A inspires me to be a part of truth again, as I know I've fallen from that for a while and it has brought chaos. If my neurosis makes me arbitrarily believe I can feel guilty all the time, can I arbitrarily do the opposite? For no reason and with no logic, just because. why not. Can I consciously develope a second neurosis to replace the first one?

It seems sad to me that Jordan places the religious impulse to needing and ideal. I don't think it's that at all. You are thirsty because water exists. You are hungry because food exists. There is a religious impulse because God exists. It's not that complicated. All the intellectual gyrations about needing an ideal are valid, but they derive from the existence of the Absolute.

The "meaning of life"? Wasn't that pretty well established in a movie of the same name by John Cleese and co.? Conscience may be innate but is developed and expressed by some type of socialization, and that is why most religionists are more concerned with their souls re church attendance than what their countries are doing to innocent people, like Iraqis in 2003. Is Peterson aware that revered Pope John Paul II proclaimed ex cathedra - so infallibly - that only men can be priests because only men have the physical characteristics of Christ for whom they stand on Earth?: and what would that amount to, does he imagine? So much for avatars: the Christ I respect is not the one the church promotes like a mascot, but the real agitator against Roman imperialism whose last words and acts indicated/demonstrated that cruelty was both barbaric and insane. If this magical world isn't enough to convince you that life is its own meaning and a privilege, and that intelligent, compassionate human organization can mitigate unavoidable pain (and most of it is of human origin) no philosophy or theology will suffice. A pox on the idea of "saving your damn, puny, literal, soul": more evil has emerged from that idea than any other.

When the cultural Marxist AKA the Left attack you then you can wear any insult as a badge of honour. The Left mostly only attack good people. You know your doing good when the Left don’t like you. We all have better things to do than deal with these mentally corrupt souls but if our grandparents and so many others gave their lives to fight tyranny and totalitarianism then at least we can stand against them and use what’s left of our free speech before they also steel that from us. The cultural Marxist Left continue prove they are a social, cultural and economic wrecking ball. The Left are evil. And are worse than Churchill once described. The philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy It’s inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery Churchill had a lot of experience fighting the NAZIS aka national socialist. So much in common Hated the Jews Hated Democracy Hated Capitalism Lové Racism Lové division, chaos and anarchy Another day another reminder

To me, Jordan coming back from so much suffering is such a redemption arc that it is somewhat ironic considering his personal love affair with heroic redemption arcs. It's wonderful to see him conquer those demons, put himself upright with his shoulders back and press forward against the chaotic malevolence of human suffering. It does little to dissuade the personification of sagely qualities he seemingly gets embarrassed about when people reference his impact hahaha.

All this navel gazing is terrific, and in a better world maybe it will become a major pastime, but children are dying in places like Yemen right now (and Palestine and Israel) and we are warming our planet up and heading for an environmental cliff, and nuclear war is a possibility. Western arms manufacturers and governments make billions on war. That whole industry is an anchor holding us down, and the water is rising. Let’s cut that anchor, and smarten up and embrace a green future, so that we may enjoy the fruits of all this intellectual introspection. That would make God happy for sure...

I am sure you won’t and don’t get time to read any of your comments, but I wanted to make a comment anyway. As a 54 year old man I am a huge fan, I feel most of your work is geared towards the 20 year old +, I have been trying to understand why I have been pushing you name and work on everyone, just asking them to give it a go and telling them I believe you are one of the great minds of the 21st century, a “ modern day Freud “ in my opinion. So it pains me to see how much it has taken out of you, but I am not surprise, it seems the pain of greatness is not just physical it’s mental and seems to be both in the cases of true legends. Anyway back to my point, I have no answer to my question, I feel you speak what should be heard, but I do not understand it all, I only understand enough to know, we should all listen to you. It’s not only what you say but the way you say it. When it comes to hearing the truth, even though I may not know much, I know enough to know when it’s being told, your heart and soul are given in what you say, it’s in your eyes and in your voice. I have made your work part of my life but as I sit hear watching your video, it has just dawned on me, I have never ever seen a politician or community/legal leader come anywhere near the suffering you have and I see this pain in those whom we know are great, those who have been destroyed for speaking out and trying to show us how we are being controlled and fooled and that your pain is part of your greatness, so what I really want to say is, STOP, you have you work on KGkey, go repair and let another, if there is such a person take up your work from here, I didn’t believe A YOU existed, but you did, so my hope is another you is out there. Don’t Die on the cross for us. Your work is already eternal.

Jordan, you don't need to waste all that energy on an imaginary avatar, you can quite happily do all your thought process without this extra part which complicates all and add so many constraints. Adding religion to your avatar characteristic also add tons of Iron Age ‘wisdom’ (exclusions, dogmas, guilt, etc..) You can still find the best of yourself and others by skipping this avatar concept and allow yourself to see what best without any filters. Why you think you need, a big purpose in your life? Don’t you think life gives you enough opportunities for every day to grow? For experiencing new things on daily basis? Try to BE Jordan, BE without inner talk, BE without ego, BE with alert stillness and you will be closer to your avatar than ever. All the best Jordan, I love your work and wish you continue to grow!

If a person reads the whole entire Bible and seeks to understand it and tries to hear the creators viewpoint ... if a person gives the creator the benefit of the doubt ... will find the reality and truth of god. This world needs a world savior ... and god knew this was going to happen way back in Eden ... he provided a world savior. He provided a world savior to produce the peaceful paradise he intended the earth to be. But you can not see this is the purpose of life. You all have your own persinal view instead of listening to the creator's viewpoint.

Jordan Peterson; I have a theory I am working on in my head about the WEF and how they are operating. I don't think I am far off because I keep learning new information that keeps fitting in the gaps. If that makes sense. Wish I could bounce it off you to see what you think because I think you might be able to contribute to it. My husband thinks there's something to this too. I'm not a brainchild. I am an artist and I work out things in my own way, but the important thing is I am always working them out. I was trained to be a problem solver (and I'd like to talk to you about that philosophy of yours too ha ha). When I was in my 30's, I had an encounter with God. I know...sounds ludicrous... but really, I did. Not, like, ohhh, I wish I could meet God, or ohhh, wouldn't it be nice to know that God really exists for sure (hmmm, what happens to faith then), but the meeting of biblical proportions. Maybe there are others like me... that have met HIM face to face, I don't know, but I do know it changed EVERYTHING and nothing. My first main takeaway was that WE ARE ALL LOVED AND IMPORTANT TO HIM AND HE KNOWS EVERY MOLECULE IN OUR BODIES BECAUSE HE MADE MOLECULES. You catch my drift? He really is all about the individual and relationship with us. One on one. Oh...and yeah...Jesus is real. He really did what He said He did and was and is who He says He is... You don't have to believe me...find out for yourselves people! What is faith as a child? Do you remember? Do you remember being a child and believing what adults told you so completely...you just had no doubt whatsoever. That is "faith as a child". Have faith as a child has faith in things. Those things don't have to be true in order for you to believe in them (ie. Santa Clause "story"). Even Santa Clause is based on a story...a real one. I have not read your books Mr Peterson. But I have watched a few of your podcasts and series on the bible. I had faith as a child but then that developed into a faith where seeing things fall into place...crazy coincidences that can't be explained, and near death experiences where I really should be dead many times over (that I know of, and that is not something I think is happening to just me; how do we really know how close we came to perishing throughout our lives?). I know I should be writing this privately, but I know there is that chance that someone might benefit is some small or significant way by reading this, so I am putting it out there. I really don't care what happens to me now. YT will probably erase this comment or you will. No worries. God will prevail no matter how many ways humans try to delay the inevitable.

Hi Dr Peterson. Really enjoy and look forward to your content. You are what this world needs. So sorry for all you have had to go through. Was wondering if you realized your spirit was attacked. I believe we are are body, mind (our will) and spirit and Ephesians 6:12 reminds us we are not battling against flesh and blood. I saw it in your eyes during one of your engagements where you were attacked by a man who basically laughed at you for being white and "no longer being on top". Can't remember his name. That was such a sharp arrow to your heart, soul. Nevermind sir, God is with you. You are in good hands. He will never leave you nor forsake you. I keep you and your family in my prayers.

That whole divinization thing (getting more and more Christ-like, theosis) is not particularly an eastern orthodox idea. Eastern catholic churches have the same emphasis. But not an exclusively eastern either: the Catholic West has a huge tradition of making personal sacrifice in order to save souls, sharing the cross of Jesus and so on. But it is true that it is the eastern orthodox youth and active church-goers in general who still think in theological and mythological categories as opposed to that once rationalized and now de-rationalized West. Being a Russian eastern catholic, a convert from russian orthodoxy, I can see it very clearly in the way my various friends react to dr Jordan's ideas.

As a nurse I was able to compassionately care for patients, family, children. As a wife I supported my husband in sickness and health and was able to control myself and be kind, speak truth in love, agree to disagree, and talk things out. But after letting someone abuse me verbally, I stepped away as I would advise my daughters to do so. I do not stand for abuse!

It's hard to receive the words when a person blames you for an illness that is out of your control. Especially the one who promised to love you. "I don't want to be married to an invalid " was thrown at me by my husband while I was in recovery from a surgery doing everything I was instructed to do by medical professionals. It wasn't good enough for him. I found out later I wasn't good enough for him! But that's okay, I'm good enough with me especially when I am doing the best I can!

"Love & truth...and you could throw beauty in the mix". I believe it's there, sir. In the words of the poet Keats " Beauty is truth, truth beauty; that is all ye know in life and all ye need to know". Listening to your Truth-seeking discussions with other clear thinkers, is a thing of beauty as far as I'm concerned. Thank you for it all.

What if, barring doing harm to anyone, we are here on Earth simply to experience the physical world, not to discover the non-physical ideal? Imagine there is a god, and that god wants us to live to our fullest, experience as much as possible, and he/she thinks we waste time seeking ideals while relegating our physical experiences to a lower priority.

I have a question for the next Q and A based on my reading of The Parasite Stress Theory of Human Values by Randy Thornhill, recommended by you in a video awhile back. I am a humanities person, (and sort of a dilettante anyway :)), and so could not effectively evaluate this theory save conceptually, BUT I was wondering today, with collectivist (as opposed to individualist as per Thornhill) groups in Israel being murderous towards one another despite high vaccination rates, if the evolved behavioral immune system in all of us might not be evolved to acknowledge vaccination, and if this conflict (beyond its ancient myriad other causes) might be in part being caused by unconsciously perceived parasite stress. If that is a possible partial cause of this conflict, does that portend conflicts in high COVID stress countries and geographies despite vaccination?? In places where us vs. them is very pronounced?? America, India, etc.??

Per Martin Luther, “I believe that I cannot by my owe reason and senses believe in God or come to him, but The Holy Ghost has called me by the gospel, enlighten me with his word, and sanctified and kept me in the one true faith.” This quote comes from the Lutheran catechism, which we had to memorize as a part of the religion lessons in the Lutheran school I went to as a child. This Faith in God, as I understand it, comes into your heart in the act of baptism. The willful act of declaring publicly the you are putting on Christ, wearing him as a shield against all powers of evil and promising to love him above anything and anyone else. When you ask God (the Holy Trinity, Triune God, (Father Son and Holy Ghost God) to come into your heart and are in total harmony with him, then you will have total peace. God has given humans free will. Baptism is our covenant with God, to love him with our whole being. If we are to be with him forever, he wants us to be who we say we are. He needs us to have total integrity in all our actions and promises. As we go about our life, we in turn, do as he asks, ( the Ten Commandments) and that carries an obligation out of our deep love, for him to follow his will for us. Which isn’t difficult, if you truly do love him. Man also was given a free will. Only a loving God would let you choose to believe in him or not. Free will also carries the ability to do evil and things against his will.(sin). Which separates us from God, as a loving father get angry at a child for misbehavior. But, God, a loving God, gave us a Savior, from that manifestation of evil. A Savior, Jesus, who took our evil onto himself, came down from heaven, as true God and true man, and suffered and died for us, taking our punishment onto himself, out of pure love for us. I feel this is the answer, fundamentally, in it’s simplicity, Faith in God is a simple act of pure Love, and following his will. His deep, pure, love for all of us humans and our deep gratitude and thankfulness for the gift of our undeserved salvation. Which is why Jesus said the greatest of these is Love.
