Andrew, people love cows. Your views will skyrocket the more cow footage you shoot. Hell, I hated milking cows in my youth but love watching a modern dairy operation. Keep up the good work.

Well, I didn't know what a 'DE'- facer was - but understand the object of the job. Heh! are you wyse? disturbing the cows at 3 am! Aye indeed the job HAS to go on - a lot to be done. weather and breakdowns interfere but cows HAVE to be fed and MILKED regularly regardless. Like a Bakery oven , like a Steelworks furnace, like Fuel burning powerstations - they just have to be kept ON. the Consumers =politicians etc who interfere, just DO NOT UNDERSTAND. THanks for taking the time at 3am!

I sold BMR back in the day for Cargill Hybrid Seeds! It really makes the milk, but it was expensive seed back then and more of a challenge agronomically. I imagine it yields quite a bit better now. Enjoyed the video!

Hi Andy. Have just started chopping our early corn here in Australia (planted early so would miss possible flooding predicted later in the season). We have a lot of other fields on normal timing too but are having lots of trouble with a new introduced invasive pest. Fall army worm has only been in the country less than a year but has already made its way 3/4 of the was down the east coast. Plants 8 to 10 inches high have been absolutely smashed by it. Just wondering if you have issues with them where you are and how you manage them. Many thanks Ron

Andy, I love your channel. I learn about farming and maintenance of equipment. Well I’m a welder/fitter/millwright by trade so I’m at least learning about equipment not familiar to me. I’ll leave you with this. Bearings or bushings, use heat and cold to your advantage. Dry ice and a bearing heater. 😎

good large quantity corn & other green fodder silage storage # but silage is when freshly prepared kept under anaerobic condition ( without exposing to Oxygen ) , as evident from U R large wheel tyres over the silage , but why U left open other silage from which machine was defacing or chopping it ??????? in addition if silage is exposed to moisture fungi grow in it & cause toxic contamination of silage ?????

When me and my dad was farming we didn't use mix wagons to much we had our weigh mixer at front armor conveyor belt I dropped down on the conveyor belt and then spread it out threw the feed bunk we had the same system through the milk Barnyard and a heifer Barnyard and then the dry cow barnyard would love to meet you in person one day we only milk about 175 our farm was nowhere near as big as yours that farm is awesome. You have a great one

Great video. I miss feeding cows. I still remember we used to feed with silage forks out of uprights and used a hand pushed silage cart when I was a younger. Feeding by hand wore out many a fork over the years. Later years we had unloaders, pits, and a mix wagon. Good times!!
